TAMA is a brand of drums and hardware, developed and manufactured in Japan, China and the USA. TAMA, then named Star Drums, first entered the American market as a low-cost drum brand competing against more expensive brands, like Rogers and Ludwig. By 1974, Hoschino (TAMAs founder and creator) started to develop high quality drums and hardware, which led to TAMAs success today. TAMA drums and hardware are used by famous drummers like Steward Copeland from the police, and has been endorsed by Dave Grohl from Nirvana!

The vintage inspired Superstar Classic series takes shape in the form of the 40+ year old Superstar drums and their groundbreaking design and superior quality. Drawing on past Superstar drums, the Classic series boasts the classic TAMA T-shaped badge and streamlined low mass single lugs reminiscent of the 70s. The thin, 100% maple shells produce full bodied, powerful sounds with maximum rich resonance. Equipped with Power Craft II Drumheads, the TAMA Superstar Classic drums sound perfect from day 1! With ring mufflers on the bass drum head, there will be no need for extra internal muffling and you can get started right away. The kit includes a double L-Rod and Omnisphere Tom Holder, offering easy 360 degree positioning and maximum stability and resonance. So you can position your drums to suit your style and preference when drumming without sacrificing your sound! Also included is the TAMA Star-Mount System, providing support at four points on the batter side hoop of the drums.
