Our 22-string Heather Harp is an inexpensive, but substantially built Celtic lever harp. This harp is an ideal starter instrument for those wanting to get started before investing in a larger, more expensive harp. The size means that it also makes a great travelling harp. It can be played on the lap, although for smaller players it would work better on a small table or stall due to its size.

This harp is strung with nylon strings which have a low tension. Low tension is perfect for players who have weaker fingers,or problems with finger movement.

Our Heather harp has semi-tone levers on all of the strings. These are made of metal and work well and even improve with regular playing! It is made of beech with a laminated soundboard. It is an attractive harp with a painted Celtic design and traditional style carvings.

The range of our Heather harp is 3 octaves, starting on the C below middle C. We recommend tuning this harp in the standard lever harp tuning – Eb major.
