The Byzance Dark Hi-hats feature hand-hammering all around the cymbals and are not lathed – as well as being slightly thicker in depth. This makes them distinctly darker and earthier in tone, with enhanced stick projection and raw volume. In addition to the classic Dark features, the Big Apple Hi-hats are slower to open up thanks to a thinner body, producing dark, roaring tones with quick decay. The stick definition is cutting, with pearly, metallic sounds distinct from the wash of other cymbals.
