Lanikai LFM-S Flame Maple Soprano Ukulele

This Lanikai ULFM-S ukulele is a very smart solid spruce top instrument with a bright, lively tone. It has a gloss finish and Aquila strings, which together with the solid spruce is in theory, a recipe for an exceptionally bright tone. However, although the brightness comes through, the Lankai LFM-S has a delicate, thin soundboard which allows a fuller tone to develop. This also results in some extremely impressive volume.

As with any ukulele, if you clamp it under your arm too strongly, the sound will be dampened, but the thin top means this is particularly noted with this model.

As well as the solid spruce top, the Lanikai LFM-S soprano has laminate flamed maple back and sides. This looks very pretty under the gloss finish, with a striped pattern visible. This isn’t overdone, and the effect is subtle, but very elegant.
