John Dowland’s The Third and Last Book of Songs consisting of 20 consort songs for viols and voices. Four-part songs in SATB format. The text of the songs is underlaid with the viol parts so that any combination of voices with viols can be achieved. The classic combination is for solo voice with three viols, but doubling of voices and viols is equally effective. Score and full set of partbooks.
