The Augustine Red Label Classical Guitar Strings are are Augustine’s medium tension set of copper wound strings. This set has slightly lighter gauge of copper than the Blue Label high tension strings. These are the original Augustine guitar strings, an intrinsic part of the classical guitar evolution this century.
Albert Augustine, an instrument maker, found himself pressured by none other than Andres Segovia to manufacture and sell nylon guitar strings. He did so,insuring the rise of a new generation of concert players and lending his own part to the cultivation and completion of the famous Segovia Sound.
